Environmental Stewardship
Landscaping to make the environment a better place — now and tomorrow...
The word "Stewardship" at one time referred to the responsibility for taking care of passengers' domestic needs on a ship, train or airplane — or managing the service provided to diners in a restaurant.
The term continues to be used in these specific ways, but it is also used to refer to a responsibility to take care of something owned by someone else. And with respect to the environment, it has taken on a profound meaning.
Environmental stewardship is the responsibility for environmental quality shared by all those whose actions affect the environment.
To that end, Garden City Groundskeeping maintains strict policies regarding disposal of garden waste; we offer organic lawn rehabilitation programs and we always try to ensure that our work maintains and beautifies the landscape without disturbing the ecology or natural surroundings.
We're constantly looking for opportunities to deliver our services in environmentally-friendly ways. We recognize that we don't own the environment: our children and grand-children do.
